DOUG WHYTE AND HIS DOCS

Well if you know DHTV, then you know Doug Whyte. What you may not know is that he's got a couple of things currently rolling in his direction.

First off, his documentary Silver Spurs, a film about a western-themed group home for the mentally ill, was accepted as a work-in-progress to the IFP Market in New York this month. He will be showing his 13-minute trailer and pitching the project to industry professionals for a solid week. You can check out the website for the film here: www.silverspursmovie.com

Also, his funeral director documentary, now titled "Pushing Up Daisies", has been picked up for distribution by Seventh Art Releasing (www.7thart.com). Whyte is currently working on the final cut with them right now and Seventh Art will be helping to get the doc into festivals starting this fall.
